How to Measure

While we strongly urge our customers to only going to PROFESSIONALS to get properly fitted, we understand that may not always be accessible for people. This is why we have our rental warehouse located close to both our store locations, so we can make changes and adjustments if thing don’t fit properly.

Below is a guide if you are unable to make it to your local menswear store or bridal shop to get measured by a professional.

Overarm Measurement

Have the subject stand with their arms down to their side. Measure over the chest and arms together at the biggest part (typically over their nipples).

Shirt Sleeve Measurement

Have the subject stand with their arms down to their sides. Measure from the top of the spine/back of the neck (C7 Vertebrae) down the neck across to the shoulder and straight down their arm sleeve to their wrist bone/top of the hand. This measurement is typically between 30-37 inches.

Pant Outseam Measurement

Have the subject stand straight and tall. Measure from their waistband (where they would properly wear their pants) and measure down their leg to the other side of the ankle bone (where you want the bottom of the pants to end up) typically 2 inches up from the floor.)

Underarm (Chest) Measurement

Have the subject stand with their arms out to the side like a “T” or airplane for most accurate measurement. Measure over the chest at the biggest part (typically over their nipples).

Midriff (Belly) Measurement

Have the subject stand with their arms out to the side like a “T” or airplane for most accurate measurement. Measure around the biggest part of their belly.

Neck (Shirt Collar) Measurement

Have the subject stand straight and tall. Measure around their neck where a dress shirt collar would typically end up, leave room for 1 finger to fit inside the measurement, (typically .25-.50 inches)

Wait (Pant Waistband) Measurement

Have the subject stand with their arms out to the side like a “T” or airplane for most accurate measurement. Measure around their waist line where they would typically wear their pants (where a belt would be). Make sure to pull snug, this measurement is typically 1-3 inches bigger than your everyday jean waist size.
